Ferrari will reveal a facelifted FF at the 2016 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este at Lake Como in northern Italy next month, reportsAutocar. Last year, we spied an Ferrari FF prototype testing with camouflage on the front bumper to hide the subtle cosmetic changes expected on the final new model.

The FF's powertrain is expected to receive a substantial upgrade, as the current 6.3-liter V-12 may receive a boost in power from its current rating of 651 hp and 504 lb-ft of torque. Power could reach more than 700 ponies on the 2016 Ferrari FF, as we reported earlier. In addition to the anticipated engine updates, an eight-speed transmission is rumored to replace the seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox to help cut the car's CO2 emissions. Also look for improvements to the car's all-wheel-drive system.

A second engine option—which could be the 3.9-liter twin-turbo V-8 found in the Ferrari California T, 488 GTB, and 488 Spider—could also find its way under the FF's sheetmetal. The V-8-powered FF would serve as the entry-level model while the V-12 would become the range-topper. Inside, the FF's cabin is rumored to get a revised infotainment system, reportsAutocar. This could be the same as the unit found in the California T, featuring Google Play.
