Smart cars are incredible when it comes to tight parking. And anyone who has spent way too much time searching for a parking spot in a big, crowded city while driving anything other than a Smart car will often wish they had one. With an overall length of just 106 inches, the new 2016 Smart Fortwo microcarwill indeed squeeze into many spots most cars can't.

With that in mind, Smart came up with a clever trick to give non-Smart car drivers a taste of what it feels like to have plenty of room to parallel park. The trick involves a tight parking spot in between a Mercedes-Benz C-Class wagon and a Citan van. When an unsuspecting driver attempts to park, they suddenly have more roomto work with.

The trick is executed thanks to the Citan's and C-Class' ability to shrink in size. As demonstrated in the video, the two cars are specially fabricated with a modified chassis and body shell that shrinks like an accordion. Needless to say, the trick leaves the drivers and a few spectators puzzled and amazed. Watch the video below to see how the automaker executed the #smarteffect parking trick.
