What do James Bond , international spy of novel and film, and Martha Stewart , the lifestyle and cooking maven, have in common? Probably not a lot, but both happen to drive Aston Martins . Stewart took to Instagram this weekend to show off her British sports car: A mid-aughts Aston Martin DB9 coupe .

The media maven's grand tourer sports a gorgeous gray hue, and-according to Stewart's post-a bonafide six-speed manual transmission. Per Stewart, the car sits most of the time "covered in the carport," but it "drives like a dream once you master the gears." You read that right; Martha Stewart drives a stick-shift Aston Martin . It's a fact that's even more impressive given that Aston also offered the DB9 with a six-speed automatic gearbox from the outset.

No surprise, then, that Stewart also reported that "the car sounds great." After all, we noted the DB9's 5.9-liter V-12 engine's " sound is as delicious as anything Ferrari or Lamborghini has to offer,"  back in 2004 .

Much like 007, Stewart took to the driver's seat of her DB9 to complete a mission: delivering fresh eggs to a friend in the midst of the current coronavirus pandemic. Rest assured, the 78-year-old magnate practiced proper social distancing and "left [the eggs] on her sidewalk" upon reaching her friend's residence.

Sure, dropping off eggs at a friend's house isn't exactly equal to defeating an international terrorism organization, but it's still a good deed worthy of recognition-especially, during the coronavirus pandemic. Alas, Stewart revealed she wasn't able to reward herself with a glass of wine upon returning home, as she's "[given] it up for Lent." Nevertheless, we're hopeful that Stewart channeled her inner-James Bond and sipped on a martini instead. Shaken, not stirred, of course.
