2024 Shelby Ford F-150 First Look: New 785-HP Shooter on Deck

It might be too soon to say there’s an all-out “war” for supremacy in the high-performance half-ton pickup space happening right now, but based on Shelby American’s recent announcement of a limited-run, 785-horsepower 2024 Shelby Ford F-150 supertruck, it’s impossible to not acknowledge the uptick in building the special-edition rigs by two popular aftermarket upfitters. 

The Truck World’s Newest Off- and On-Road Bad Boy 

On the heels of Fox Factory’s supercharged 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 comes this Blue Oval beast that starts life as a 2024 Ford Lariat SuperCrew with four-wheel drive and a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter Coyote V-8 engine making 400 horsepower, that sings through a Borla cat-back exhaust system (for $130,000). Adding the optional supercharger makes the ticket $139,995 (starting), but power jumps up to a whopping 785 ponies.

Stance for this Shelby pickup qualifies as being “lifted,” thanks to a 3-inch BDS Suspension lift kit that’s supported by Fox Factory 2.5-inch race series internal-bypass shocks and double-adjustable speed controls, along with performance rear traction bars and 22-inch Shelby alloy wheels with 35-inch premium all-terrain tires.

Shelby American is minting only 800 2024 Shelby F-150s for the U.S. market, and the trucks can be purchased on other shores through authorized Shelby distributors. They have a 3 year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, and with every purchase, buyers receive membership in the Team Shelby owners club, and will be eligible for documentation in the official Shelby Registry.
