The 2021 Shelby F-150 starts life as a normal four-wheel-drive F-150 pickup in Lariat trim with the company's 5.0L gasoline V-8. From there, Shelby reworks the interior with custom two-tone leather seat covers, embroidered headrests, carbon-fiber trim pieces, a Shelby-badged console lid, billet racing pedals, and deep-tinted windows. On the outside, Shelby adds a ram-air hood with functional vents, powered and lighted side steps with rock guards, body-color fender flairs, front fender vents, a front bumper cover with vents, painted door handles, painted mirror caps, painted rear bumper cladding, a custom Shelby block letter grille, a tonneau cover, and a bed rug.

Shelby says the new 2021 Shelby F-150 is also one of the company's most capable off-road trucks ever. It has certainly fitted it with the right hardware, anyway. The truck's suspension has been improved by the addition of a BDS lift kit that features Fox 2.5-inch internal bypass shocks with high- and low-speed compression control. Shelby doesn't mention what size the lift kit is, but from the looks of it, we'd take an educated guess at about 6 inches. Traction bars are added to the rear to help prevent unwanted axle wrap. Rounding out the off-road goodies are a set of 35x12.5-inch BFGoodrich A/T KO2 all-terrain tires on 22-inch aluminum wheels. If Shelby really had any intention of customers using this truck off-road, it would have arrived with more reasonable 18-inch wheels, but we digress.

Each truck comes with a 5.0L V-8 engine, which churns out 400 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. Shelby then adds a performance air intake and a Borla exhaust, which is specially tuned just for Shelby. Customers looking to take things to the max can add Shelby's supercharger to the mix, which brings total engine output up to a bonkers 775 hp. When the supercharger is selected, the supercharger head unit and intake manifold are powder-coated Ford Racing blue. The kit utilizes a larger billet throttle body, high-flow fuel injectors, and an oversized carbon-fiber air intake tube. Supercharger sales and installation are performed after-title. This means you won't find a new supercharged version for sale on a Ford dealer lot; the customer must first purchase the truck. For those who are worried about voiding the factory warranty of a brand-new truck, Shelby offers its own three-year/36,000-mile warranty.
