2026 Ferrari F80 Expert Review
Reviewed by Alex Leanse
A Ferrari like this doesn’t come along often. Following legends like the 288 GTO, F40, Enzo, and LaFerrari, the new Ferrari F80 arrives as the Italian automaker’s new ultimate hypercar. Integrating all of Ferrari’s latest powertrain, chassis, and aerodynamic technologies, the F80 is intended for extreme racetrack performance. Rivals to the Ferrari F80 in the hybrid hypercar sphere include the McLaren W1, Czinger 21C, and Mercedes-AMG One.
How Much Horsepower Does the Ferrari F80 Have?
No contest: The F80 is the most powerful road-legal Ferrari model ever. It has a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-6, which produces 888 hp. Then there are three electric motors, which contribute another 296 hp to the mix. Total powertrain output from the Ferrari F80 measures 1,184 hp and 793 lb-ft of torque, which is distributed through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The F80 is all-wheel drive, with the front wheels powered individually by electric motors, and the rear wheels spun by the engine and the motor it’s paired with.
Ferrari F80 0-60 MPH Time
For the F80, Ferrari estimates a 0-60 time of 2.1 seconds, and a top speed of about 217 mph. Both are very impressive figures, but hardly earth-shattering—after all, the luxurious electric Lucid Air can launch to 60 mph in about the same time, and the Corvette ZR1 can exceed 230 mph. Rather than straight-line speed, the F80 seems engineered more for epic handling, as its 3D-printed suspension arms, motorized active shock absorbers, and massive active rear wing are all intended to keep the car glued to the pavement at high lateral g-forces.
Is the Ferrari F80 Electric?
The F80 isn’t electric, but it is electrified. The hybrid uses three electric motors—two on the front axle and one joined to the mid-mounted V-6. These are powered by a small 2.3 kWh battery pack, which is of Ferrari’s own design and manufacturing. Unlike some hybrids, the F80 is not capable of any all-electric driving range—this setup is much more for performance than efficiency.
Does the Ferrari F80 have One or Two Seats?
Technically the F80 has two seats, but you might not want to sit shotgun—this is hardly a grand touring car. The F80’s cabin is all about the driver, placing every control for their easy access and making only that seat adjustable. The passenger sits in a narrow area that’s mounted slightly behind the driver’s seat, with seatbelts but nothing resembling amenities. This arrangement is said to be inspired by Ferrari’s endurance racing cars.
How Much Does the Ferrari F80 Cost?
Ferraris are known to be expensive and exclusive, but the F80 takes things to a whole new level. For reference, the Ferrari 296 GTB starts at about $313,000, the Purosangue SUV at $400,000, the 12Cilindri at $464,000, and the intense SF90 XX $890,000. Meanwhile, pricing for the 2026 Ferrari F80 will start at approximately $3,925,000 before any options are applied. Only 799 examples will be produced, and all have been sold to Ferrari’s most ardent and loyal customers.
