The all-new 2027 Audi Q7 marks the arrival of the SUV's third generation, bringing a fresh design, advanced lighting technology, and a luxurious high-tech cabin. We took the 2026 Subaru Outback Wilderness and the 2026 Honda Passport TrailSport deep into the California desert for a real-world off-road comparison packed with hill climbs, articulation tests, sand washes, and challenging terrain. After driving both on-road and off-road, we found some surprising differences in ride quality, capability, traction, comfort, and value. The Passport TrailSport impressed us with its spacious interior, smooth ride, and rugged attitude, while the Outback Wilderness shocked us with incredible traction and confidence on loose terrain.
