011 2026 Honda Passport Trailsport Elite

When it came time to narrow the field to finalists, the Passport impressed with its balance of strengths—solid engineering, thoughtful design, and strong value. At $46,245, the RTL trim is especially compelling.

In an era when electric vehicles dominate the headlines, the 2026 Honda Passport proved sticking to the basics—and nailing them—still matters. With its mix of rugged trail chops, everyday comfort, and solid value, the Passport needs no gimmicks to make an impression. Sometimes, the simplest formula is the one that wins people over.

This review was conducted as part of our 2026 SUV of the Year (SUVOTY) testing, where each vehicle is evaluated on our six key criteria: efficiency, design, safety, engineering excellence, value, and performance of intended function. Eligible vehicles must be all-new or significantly revised.
