Italian publicationOmni Autoreports that Nismo, Nissan's performance division, is moving forward with plans to build up to 17 copies of the Juke-R 2.0. Since the report is in Italian, we had to rely on Google Translate to learn that confirmation of the plan comes from Nismo engineers charged with producing the Juke-R 2.0.
As previously reported, the Juke-R 2.0 is a mashup of Nissan's Juke and GT-R Nismo. Power comes from the GT-R's 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-6 and is tuned to make 600 hp and 481 lb-ft of torque. The sophisticated all-wheel-drive system and twin-clutch six-speed auto also comes from the GT-R Nismo. Other modifications include carbon fiber body panels, a roll cage, an aero kit, and wheels sourced from the GT-R.
As its name implies, this is the second version of the Juke-R. The original made less power (480 hp) and was essentially outsourced to a U.K.-based tuner. This time around, the Juke-R makes more power and has Nismo's backing. Pricing hasn't been set, but is expected to crest half a million dollars.
