The Ford GT upstaged the other cars at this year's Detroit auto show, and that's not an easy thing to do. Now that the model has made its official debut, Ford is revealing new footage of the GT undergoing development tests at Sebring International Raceway.

In the video below, the crew from Ford talks all about their hopes and dreams for the new supercar. Its number-one priority? To win at Le Mans, the company says.

The Ford GT packs a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine that produces "more than 600 hp," making it the most powerful EcoBoost production engine ever. The carbon-fiber-loaded vehicle will make its competition debut in January at the Rolex 24 in Daytona, Fla., and will compete at Le Mans next year.
