Watch an Amazon Delivery Driver Sprint After His Sprinter With a Quickness

A few of us have had the unfortunate experience chasing down a car that's rolling down a hill because of some sort of mechanical fault, or user error—it's something you never forget. So you'll all be able to sympathize for this poor Amazon delivery driver who was just trying to do his job when his grayish-blue Amazon van started to slowly slip down a residential street after something went terribly wrong.

The video you see here was caught on one of those security cameras that's built into the house's front door. The delivery man walks up to the door, scans a package, and drops it off, but all the while his van is silently slipping away behind him. We don't see anything for a few seconds and then the guy sprints across the screen to give chase after the falling Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, and boy, was he moving.

We aren't sure justhowthe van started to roll down the hill. We'd like to hazard a guess that he left it in neutral, thinking it was park. It's also possible that he did put it in park and the transmission failed to select that gear altogether. Either way, it's easy to imagine the emotional rollercoaster this poor dude went through as soon as he stepped off that porch. At first it's confusion, then shock, then horror, before the adrenaline kicked in and he ran after the van.

Luckily, a post on Reddit revealed that the van ended up in someone's front yard garden, so aside from a few squashed plants, there was no harm caused.

But can we talk just for a second about howquickthis guy was? Once he realizes what has happened he starts moving at breakneck speed—he looked like Usain Bolt in an Amazon uniform. Maybe this guy's missed his calling!
