Take a 360-Degree Ride in the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio

Getting wild, virtually, in Alfa’s newest toy.

We're heartbroken to think we still have to wait several months to get behind the wheel of the new Alfa Romeo Giulia, but fortunately the Italian automaker is helping ease the pain with a new video. This special 360-degree video allows viewers to take a ride inside an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio as it rips and slides around a test track.

To be sure, we'd much rather be driving the Italian sports sedan ourselves, but being able to drag the camera view all around still provides an immersive experience. The Quadrifoglio will be the hottest version of the Alfa Romeo Giulia, with a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine sending 505 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque to the rear tires. That's good for a 0-to-60-mph sprint of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 191 mph.

While the test driver in this video never reaches 191 mph, he does take full advantage of the Giulia Quadrifoglio's chassis enhancements. The car comes with 19-inch alloy wheels shod in Pirelli P Zero Corsa Tires, has an active aerodynamic front splitter, and is available with optional carbon-ceramic brakes to better erase velocity.

As if we needed any more proof it's a serious performance machine, Alfa Romeo's test drivers managed to hustle a Giulia QF around the Nürburgring in an impressive 7:39 minutes.

Though there have been numerous delays, the 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia is still supposed to reach the U.S. by the middle of this year. We're not holding our breath there won't be more delays, so for the moment we're trying to quell our anticipation by watching this in-car video on repeat. See it for yourself below.
