Spied: Rolls-Royce Wraith Drophead Coupe Hides its Convertible Top
The two-door variant of the Ghost, the Rolls-Royce Wraith, is about to lose its top. At the New York auto show, Rolls-Royce North America president Eric Shepherd didn't deny that a Drophead Coupe variant was coming, and these spy shots are further proof that a roofless Wraith is well on its way.

The prototype lacks the long, raked roofline of the Wraith coupe, with the hard top instead terminating just above the rear wheel. Underneath the false roof is probably a folding soft top similar to the Phantom Drop Head Coupe's. Other exterior details look similar to the fixed-roof Wraith, which in turn looks much like the Ghost it's based on.
Under the hood, expect the same 624-hp twin-turbo V-12 that powers the Wraith coupe. The large drop-top could appear as a 2016 model, with a price well over $300,000. Check out photos of the Wraith Drophead Coupe below.
