Honda Prologue, Acura ZDX Owners Can Soon Plug Into Tesla Chargers With NACS Adapters
The move opens up access to more than 20,000 select Tesla Superchargers for recent Honda and Acura EV owners.
Good news for Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX owners: You, too, will soon be able to tap into the prolific and convenient Tesla Supercharger network. Starting in June, the first Honda-approved NACS-to-CCS DC fast-charging adapters will be available for purchase, thus granting Prologue and ZDX drivers access to more than 20,000 "select" Superchargers across the country, according to a press release. So, while you won't be able to pull up to any old Supercharger and plug in, you'll be able to use the associated HondaLink and Acura EV apps to locate compatible ones. The apps will also let owners know when they can buy the adapters, which will be available through Honda and Acura retailers. No pricing was announced at this time.

This announcement comes alongside the Prologue's 2025-model-year updates, which include more range and power—for the same price as last year. The Prologue was, according to Honda, the nation's top-selling non-Tesla EV during Q4 last year. On the other hand, the ZDX doesn't seem to have received any further updates for 2025 aside from getting the upcoming NACS adapter. However, this might be because the ZDX was already producing better range and power than the Prologue. Detailed range estimates are forthcoming; 2025-model-year figures for the Honda and Acura have not yet been posted to by the EPA.
Regardless, this is great news, and represents another step in the direction of making public charging more convenient and accessible to non-Tesla owners. Honda/Acura joins automakers such as BMW, Ford, General Motors, and the Hyundai/Kia group in either offering adapters or switching to the NACS port altogether. You read our big roundup here.
