Honda’s New Partnered Accessories Program Offers Cool Aftermarket Parts With No Hassle
The dealer-installed third-party program is starting with Thule and will offer more choices over time.

Let’s say you just bought a brand new Honda Passport and you know you want a bike rack for it, but you don’t want to deal with the hassle of finding one that fits, and installing it, and maybe doing it wrong when you do. Now, let’s say you can have one installed from a trusted brand at your dealer before you even leave the lot. That’s the idea behind Honda’s new Honda Partnered Accessories program.

Although Honda is no slouch when it comes to offering useful official parts for its cars and SUVs, the automaker sees it as a way to augment its factory accessories catalog, giving its customers even more choice in the process. The program lets buyers choose and install third-party accessories without the usual concerns about warranty headaches, while packaging them much like any other genuine Honda factory product.
Every accessory included in the new Partnered Accessories line has been fitted and tested by Honda, which should help ensure a straightforward installation process at the dealer level. Buyers also get the confidence of purchasing through a trusted source, along with the reassurance that the accessories will fit properly and be supported by their Honda dealer if something goes wrong. Better yet, the accessories can be financed as part of the purchase of a new vehicle, making the process that much easier.

The first brand to join the program is Thule, the well-known name behind outdoor and recreational vehicle gear such as bicycle racks, roof boxes, and more. Honda says the lineup of parts and brands will continue to grow over time, allowing the program to better match customer needs and keep pace with trends across the automotive world and the aftermarket.
Although the initial focus will be on new vehicles, older Honda models will also be eventually included in the Partnered Accessories program. That means owners of existing vehicles should be able to get the same level of quality, installation support, and peace of mind as new car buyers.
