Cadillac CTS-V's Recaro Seats to be $2800 Option on Standard CTS

Writer

Recaro is, if you'll pardon the pun, the Cadillac of automotive seating. Perhaps it's fitting, then, that Recaro bucket seating is now a production option for the 2010 Cadillac CTS.

Although similar buckets are standard equipment in the high-performance CTS-V model, this is the first time the premium, 14-way adjustable seats will offered in another CTS model. Trimmed in black leather and accented by microfiber suede inserts, the seats are also heated and ventilated. We're a little disappointed the buckets don't include the traditional "Recaro" embroidery (a subtle black stitching would be fitting), but the brand's ornamentation does appear near the seat controls.

As is usually the case with luxury, springing for these seats will cost you a good chunk of change. Cadillac says opting for the buckets will add an additional $2800, and the option is only available on the Premium and Performance trim levels. Cadillac won't make these available on the CTS Sport Wagon, but will offer them on the forthcoming 2011 CTS Coupe.
