Imagine a pack of irreplaceable Porsche 907s and 910s, Ford GT40s, Lola T-70s, Ferrari 275 LMs, and Trans-Am racers playing bumper cars. That was the scene at the start of the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1968. The Trans-Am race was included within the 12-hour format that year and was won by Mark Donohue and Craig Fisher in a Penske Camaro. The overall victory went to Hans Herrmann and Jo Siffert, driving Porsche 907 #49, seen in the lower left of this amazing photo, taken from a chopper hovering above the front straight.
