Jeep Finally Gives Gladiator Fans What They Wanted Most

Big ol’ tires.

Jeep says its most requested upgrade for the Jeep Gladiator is a set of factory-fit 35-inch tires. Well, those who have prayed for the ability to get huge rolling stock by checking a box can rejoice: The Jeep Gladiator 35-Inch Tire Launch Edition arrives on the scene for 2027.

The package is available for Willys, Rubicon, and Rubicon X trims, and if you get the Launch Edition, comes with bronze graphics, 17-inch beadlock wheels, and trim, some of which debuted on the military-inspired Sarge variant this past summer. The Rubicon and Rubicon X have their own hood and vent appliqués, and the latter also gets exclusive door graphics and performance hood with a special decal.

Hopping on the Launch Edition train also gets buyers a one-inch lift, a retuned suspension, upgraded brakes, a 4.56 final-drive ratio, heavy duty Dana axles, higher fender flares with extensions.

Some elements of the 35-Inch Tire Launch Edition are borrowed from the Sarge variant that launched this past summer.

The 35-inch package boosts ground clearance to 12.9 inches, and improves the approach, breakover, and departure angles. (Those now stand at 46.7, 23.3, and 26.7 degrees, respectively.)

So, there you have it. Or maybe you don’t, given this is the limited edition Launch Package and we don’t know how many Jeep plans to build. There’s also no word on whether the beefy rubber and all the other goodies will eventually be offered as a regular bundle as it is on the Wrangler, or how much this new package will cost. The Xtreme 35-inch tire package adds about $3,000 to a Wrangler, however, so figure on adding that plus a little extra Launch Edition premium to the price of those three Gladiator trims. Order books are open now.
