The special 60th anniversary color will be available on all 2027 Chargers, including the all-electric Daytona.

With the Dodge Charger’s 60th anniversary upon us, Dodge clearly thought it was the perfect time to celebrate one of the High-Impact heritage colors that helped define it and American muscle cars. For the 2027 model year, Dodge will introduce Purple Haze for all versions of its modern muscle car, including the all-electric Daytona coupe and sedan models. It’s a shade that takes its hue cue from one of the most famous colors of Mopar’s past, with a modern twist that shifts to a deeper purple in the shade.

Looking back at the history of the Dodge Charger and the peak of the muscle car era, loud, proud colors were a perfect match for the performance of those V-8-powered monsters. One of the High-Impact colors Dodge offered between 1968 and 1971 that still stands out today is Plum Crazy. Available only for the 1970 and 1971 model years, the deep purple hue still holds a special place in the hearts of Mopar fans.

Although it doesn’t carry the historic name, Purple Haze is an equally distinctive purple that brings back memories of that legacy hue. It starts as a high-gloss purple and shifts into a deep, rich tone as you drive your Charger into the shade.

Purple Haze will be limited to the 2027 model year and will cost $795 on top of the price of the Dodge Charger, including coupe, sedan, and all-electric Daytona models. Buyers can also pair it with custom features such as Fratzog dual stripes, along with 10 other Mopar stripes and graphics packages. If you really want to go old-school, you can spec it with a Satin Black painted hood or choose the Satin Black hood patch available on Six Pack models.

Need to see it in person before committing? A 2027 Dodge Charger Six Pack Scat Pack finished in this heritage-inspired hue will be on display at the 2027 Carlisle Chrysler Nationals, running July 10–12. But if you want one, you can place your order now through your local Dodge dealer.
