Huge 55-FT Big Rig Travel Trailer Is a Home Away That's Nicer Than Home

When it comes to travel trailers and campers, we can't deny that the outliers—those that are particularly petite and on the other end of the spectrum, considerably colossal—captivate us and in many cases, carry us downward into the internet rabbit hole of research. When a dual-axle 50-foot vintage camper trailer recently popped up for sale, we once again spiraled hard—real hard—into searching the internet formore50-foot camper trailers. You better believe we found some behemoths and for the sake of getting on with the day, we bring you but one big rig travel trailer from Space Craft Manufacturing that has us all sorts of giddy.

This beauty is a 55-foot 2021 Space Craft semi travel trailer "created by one of our carnival customers," according to the company's YouTube video. Can you imagine towing this thing around? It dwarfs the diesel pushers in the background and is essentially twice as long as a good-sized camper trailer. We imagine you'd want to spend more time parked than on the road, if possible. We counted three separate slide-outs on one side and two entry doors (separated by two slide) on the other. The roof, which could home a ton of solar capability, has three air condition units.

What about the inside of Space Craft's one bedroom, one bath, office big rig travel trailer? We get to peek inside thanks to a 3D interior tour—and it does not disappoint. With home furnishing and residential appliances and blinds, it basically looks like you're inside a house. A rather nice house, that is.

The tidy kitchen has a residential stainless steel refrigerator, four-burner electric oven/range, large microwave, roomy sink, drop leaf for additional counterspace, nice LED baseboard accent lighting, and a fancy mosaic backsplash.

The kitchen overflows into a living room and dining space highlighted by a 55-inch TV best viewed from the leather power sofa or leather power loveseats that are separated by a console. A cute dinner table for four has its own chandelier for light.

The bathroom area has a storage cabinet prepped for a washer/dryer next to a private toilet room for just the potty. The opposite side has a 36-inch fiberglass corner shower, a mosaic backsplash, a vanity light with crystal inserts, and a decorative fish-shaped glass vessel sink bowl.

The bedroom swallows a queen bed, 32-inch TV, a wardrobe, and a cedar-lined closet with LED accent lighting. There are even decorative wall sconces (those things behind the pillows) with crystal inserts. Yeah, not bad, huh.

The office has tons of storage and counter space—even custom file drawer storage. The bottom left-hand side of the photo catches the edge of a custom wrap-around desk.

And finally, to the rear of the office, there's a storage room. The second entry door enters this room and allows easy access to the office. On the left hand side of the picture, there's a teller window for transactions.

Missouri-based Space Craft, a company that's been around for 60 years, custom builds ginormous 40-57-foot semi trailers (like the one we've been talking about), 35-51-foot fifth-wheels, and bumper-pull travel trailers; Space Craft added the semi (truck) RV platform in the 1990s. The company doesn't list pricing on its website, but rest assured that if you want to spend a million dollars on your next big rig travel trailer (or residential unit), a company like Space Craft can make it happen.
