We Want Them, Too! Toyota’s 2026 RAV4 Already Has Sweet GR Parts Available in Japan

The new 2026 Toyota RAV4 definitely has a boxy, tuner look about it, especially in the GR Sport PHEV trim. Toyota is wasting no time in kicking up the sportiness another notch with a full set of TRD aftermarket parts for it—but here’s the catch: The parts are only available in Japan, at least for now.

The set is pretty cool. It consists of a glossy black and dark gray resin front spoiler, side skirts, and rear bumper spoiler, plus a set of 20-inch forged aluminum wheels to fit a set of 235/50R20 tires (not included). Other visual add-ons include a carbon-fiber license plate frame and a door handle protector. Finally, there’s a side visor that reduces wind buffeting if the windows are open.

GR Performance Damper

The available parts are not all merely for aesthetics, either. There’s also a GR Performance Damper that supposedly cuts down on vibrations and noise while also increasing ride stability. We reckon that’d actually be a nice addition to the GR Sport RAV4’s 324 total-system horsepower.

We do have to call out two items of silliness, though.

GR Discharge Sticker

The first is something called a “GR Discharge Sticker.” It’s a GR logo aluminum sticker that, if attached to the car, supposedly “remove[s] the charge on the body and brings out the original performance of the vehicle,” according to the TRD website. We feel like we’ve seen something like this before on Gundam.

At least there are handy graphics to help you visualize the benefits.

GR Door Stabilizer

Second, there’s the “GR Door Stabilizer” that is just downright laughable. “Fills the gap in the door striker area using a spacer,” reads the flavor text. “This provides quicker steering response by cutting down the delay from when the steering wheel is turned.” What?

There’s even a chart backing it up, though we’d love to independently verify these claims. It’s maybe possible there is some small benefit to rigidity that then translates to steering response, but we can’t imagine anyone could actually detect that.

There’s no telling if the parts will ever be intended for the U.S. market, though we’re certain our own aftermarket industry will respond in kind once the RAV4 GR Sport becomes available here.

Stock 2026 Toyota RAV4 GR Sport PHEV

The all-new, sixth-generation RAV4 arrived for the 2026 model year with every version being a hybrid. The plug-in models, with their higher power outputs, will appear in top-tier Woodland and GR Sport trims. The RAV4 GR Sport will come from the factory with a front lip, rear wing spoiler, offset wheels, performance tires, stiffer dampers and springs, and 1 inch of extra overall width thanks to its fender flares.

Toyota has not yet announced pricing for the GR Sport RAV4, but we estimate it will be somewhere in the mid-to-upper $40,000 range.
