The 2026 Macan GTS Electric Might Be Porsche’s Most Versatile EV Yet
At last, the missing rung on the Macan Electric’s pricing and power ladder between 4S and Turbo is ready for ordering. It’s that time in the Macan Electric’s product roll-out timeline when the Goldilocks of the lineup makes its debut: the 4S-Turbo ’tweener, the 2026 Porsche Macan GTS Electric. It sounds like a pretty nice package. Here are the details.

563 Horsepower/704 LB-FT
Okay, those are the temporary “overboost” headline grabbers, but let’s face it—here in the United States of Potholes and Speed Traps, how often are you really at liberty to leave your foot on the floor for more than 2.5 seconds? The “everyday” max power, enabled by a 900-amp pulse inverter using silicon-carbide transistors, is 509 hp. Sounds “sufficient,” as Rolls-Royce used to describe its motorcars’ power. Torque always peaks at 704 lb-ft.
How Quick/Fast?!
That kind of output demands permanent-magnet motors front and rear, and the rear one is shared with the Macan Turbo Electric. The motors each spin through a 9:1 direct-drive gearbox that lends sufficient multiplication to turn those output figures into impressive performance claims for this 2.5-ton rocket: 3.6 seconds to 60 mph, on its way to a 12.0-second quarter-mile time and a 155-mph top speed. And if track lapping is more your style, the standard Sport Chrono Package is enhanced with a Track Endurance Mode borrowed from the Taycan that provides extra cooling to the battery to delay potential “thermal derating” (battery-heat-related power reduction) to extend those track sessions.
The 800-volt system is pretty quick, too, as it's able to take on electrons at up to 270 kW. This allows the 100-kWh battery (95 kWh usable) to charge from 10–80 percent in just 21 minutes under ideal conditions.
