The 2026 Honda Passport arrives at dealerships nationwide today with the two-row midsize SUV having received a full makeover, gaining tougher hardware and new software to make it more capable on the trail, and getting a bolder, off-road ready look. While the Honda keeps its unibody chassis, the 2026 Passport is trail-ready—particularly in TrailSport guise—and we proved that it could go on treacherous trails and over steep obstacles. So, how much will this newest Passport, which finally diverges somewhat from its more family-focused three-row Pilot SUV sibling, cost?

How Much is a 2026 Honda Passport?

There are three different variants to choose from—RTL, TrailSport, and TrailSport Elite, and Honda will offer different packages to customize each Passport. Prices range from $46,200 for the base RTL to $55,100 for the TrailSport Elite Blackout, a new trim that sits at the top of the Passport’s lineup, and all versions come with all-wheel drive standard.

Compared to last year's lineup, which included Passport EX-L, TrailSport, and Black Edition versions, prices are up across the board. The RTL (which effectively replaces the 2025 EX-L), costs $2,350 more; the TrailSport—which sees a huge upgrade from an off-road-styled model to one with actual off-road hardware and chops this year—sees its MSRP jump (again, justifiably) by $3,450, and that's before counting the new Blackout and Elite spinoffs; and finally, the 2026 Passport TrailSport Elite Blackout, the range-topping version, costs $5,180 more than last year's most expensive Passport, the Black Edition.

The table below lists the prices for all variants, including destination.

All 2026 Passports, regardless of the trim, will be powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that makes 285 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. Coupled to a new 10-speed transmission, all that power is sent to all four wheels via a Honda’s second-gen all-wheel drive system with torque vectoring—the same system that debuted on the Pilot.

When we sampled a TrailSport Elite prototype back in October on the trails of Moab, Utah, we were impressed with its capability as it climbed over hard obstacles meant for hard core off-roaders like the Jeep Wrangler or Toyota 4Runner, or side by sides.

What Are the Differences?

The 2026 Passport lineup starts with the RTL, which boasts 1.3 inches of additional rear seat legroom than the outgoing model, a 10.2-inch full digital driver instrumentation display, and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with Google built-in and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A powered tailgate, heated front seats and 10 cupholders are also standard. The available tow package includes two integrated rear recovery points, and a Class III trailer hitch. Like its name suggests, the blackout package adds 18-inch black alloy wheels, black lug nuts, and black Honda badges.

The TrailSport model adds easy-to-clean synthetic leather seating with orange stitching, the TrailSport logo embroidered on the headrests, and a panoramic sunroof. All-season floor mats, power folding mirrors and a heated windshield are also standard.

At the top of the lineup, TrailSport Elite adds smart entry, perforated leather seating with piping, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, rear climate controls, rear door shades and expanded ambient lighting, plus a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system. The new TrailWatch camera system, which uses four exterior cameras to provide a better look when off-roading, is standard on TrailSport Elite.

In terms of off-road hardware, both the TrailSport and TrailSport Elite have an off-road tuned suspension with improved stabilizer bars; General Grabber tires from General Tires; and steel skidplates to protect the oil pan, transmission and gas tank from damage. The skidplates can support the entire weight of the vehicle crashing down on a rock, so if you're not the most delicate off-roader, don't worry.

Every model can be customized with seven post-production packages that include an overlanding-focused adventure package, a pet package, and a new HPD package.

The 2026 Honda Passport goes on sale this week, and will continue to be manufactured in Honda’s Alabama plant.
