The Chrysler Pacifica is about to split into two distinct model lines, with lower-trim Pacificas being renamed Chrysler Voyager. We knew the Voyager would pick up where the former base Pacifica left off (starting around $28,0000), but now we've got official confirmation from FCA that it will start at $28,480.

Replacing the Pacifica L and LX trims, the 2020 Chrysler Voyager inherits those models and will also be available in LXi guise for fleets. The Voyager LXi will be distinguished by its standard leatherette upholstery, retractable sunshades, second row Stow n' Go seating, remote start, a garage door opener, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. You can also configure the 2020 Voyager with BraunAbilitity rear- and side-entry conversion doors so that the minivan gets a larger opening for ramps, wheelchairs, and scooters. Voyager L and LX models get second-row "quad" seats and in-floor storage cubbies instead of the Stow n' Go seats, and cloth upholstery over leatherette. In an email, an FCA spokesperson confirmed the 2020 Chrysler Voyager's starting price, along with LX trim's $31,290 MSRP and the fleet-only LXi's $34,490 price tag.

Under the hood is the same 287-hp 3.6-liter V-6 as the Pacifica, and it comes paired exclusively to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Options include the SafetyTec Group, which adds rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. FCA's UConnect4 interface comes standard with a 7.0-inch touchscreen and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. Other standard features include a six-speaker audio system and a 3.5-inch instrument cluster display.
