A two-row variant of the 2018 Lexus LX has been added alongside the standard three-row, eight-passenger model, offering more cargo space. Making its debut at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show, the two-row, five-seat Lexus LX 570 is the automaker's response to demand for a version of its flagship that can carry more cargo. Lexus says this variant offers 15 percent more cargo space behind the second row (50.5 cubic feet). In comparison, the three-row LX 570 has 44.7 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row.

Powering the five-seat variant of the 2018 Lexus LX 570 is the same 5.7-liter V-8 in the three-row variant, rated at 383 hp and 403 lb-ft of torque. It puts power down to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. Maximum towing capacity remains at 7,000 pounds when properly equipped. Like its three-row sibling, the two-row LX 570 comes with the same off-road hardware, including a Torsen locking limited-slip center differential, four-wheel Active Traction Control System (A-TRAC), the Multi-Terrain Select system, Crawl Control with Turn Assist, Hill-Start Assist Control, and variable-ratio steering.
