Changes are just skin deep.

Fiat Chrysler might be canning the Chrysler 200 in the near future, but that hasn't stopped the automaker from creating a new special edition for both the 200 and its big brother, the Chrysler 300S.

The new 2016 Chrysler 200S Alloy Edition adds a cluster of visual upgrades and special paint to the midsize sedan. To create the Alloy Edition, Chrysler adds special Dark Bronze paint to exterior trim pieces, including the front grille, wheels, and special rear badge. These contrast with gloss black accents on the grille inserts and grille openings, along with "Titanium" touches to the Chrysler wing badge and exhaust tips.

On the inside, each Alloy Edition is available with either leather-trimmed black cloth, or black leather. A black-and-caramel "S" logo on the seatbacks is standard, along with contrasting Piano Black and Titanium trim pieces around the cabin.

Want more visual aggression? You can also spec your 2016 Chrysler 200S Alloy Edition with a factory-installed Mopar exterior package that includes a front splitter, side sills, and rear valance.

The 2016 Chrysler 300S Alloy Edition's changes match those of the 200S, while adding darkened mirror caps and a special redesigned interior clock. Both the 200S and 300S Alloy Editions are available in Gloss Black Clear Coat, Black Forest Green Pearl Coat, Redline Tri-coat Pearl, Granite Crystal Metallic Clear Coat and Bright White Clear Coat paint.

Nabbing your own set of keys to a 200S Alloy Edition will set you back at least $26,680. Step up to the 300S Alloy Edition, and be prepared to shell out $36,960.

Both Chrysler Alloy Editions make their official debut at the 2016 Chicago auto show. In the meantime, take a look at the new package in the photo gallery below.
