2013 BMW M3 Lime Rock Park Edition Announced – Starts at $70,995

It seems the Germans are masters of special editions, whether it's the dozens of different Porsche 911 models that have rolled out over the years, or lately, the various limited-run variants of the BMW M3, including the Frozen Sliver Edition, the China-only Carbon Edition, and the ultra-exclusive Frozen Black Edition. You can add one more to that lineup with the 2013 M3 Lime Rock Park Edition.

The M3 Lime Rock Park Edition represents the long-standing relationship between BMW and the historic 1.5-mile Lime Rock Park track in Connecticut, owned and managed by Skip Barber, widely-known for his driving school which for decades featured BMW cars. So what does the princely sum get you? The special trim includes the Competition Package, a carbon fiber composite roof panel, a lightweight Inconel-titanium exhaust system, carbon fiber front and rear aerodynamic aids, and an Alcantara-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel. Each BMW M3 Lime Rock Park edition will be designated by a numbered plaque on the center console, a decal on the left-rear quarter window, and a certificate of authenticity.

The M3 Lime Rock Park Edition will be available for delivery starting in September. The $70,995 price tag includes a $895 destination charge. If you want one in your garage, act fast, as only 200 units will be built.
