German tuner G-Power holds various top speed world records for its BMW builds. Since 1983, it has focused solely on this Bavarian brand. In 2010, its M5 Hurricane sedan broke the world’s fastest sedan record at 231mph. This time it chose an E61 BMW M5 Touring model because of its rock solid high-rev 5.0L V10 engine.
Modifying the Bi-Kompressor System allowed for a total power output of 830hp and 582.6 lb-ft (790Nm) of torque. The RR wagon then went on to set the record for world’s fastest station wagon after reaching an electronically limited 224mph (362km/h).
The force behind the streetable Hurricane RR Touring are of course the performance products. Past the plush cowhide and Alcantara within are 20-inch G-Power Silverstone R2 wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires, G-Power G5-Rs 9-way adjustable coilovers, 396/380mm rotors front and rear, a ceramic brake kit and two fully tuned ASA T1-136 superchargers.
