Jaguar is in a state of flux these days, keeping its lineup fresh while transitioning to an all-electric future. The British brand has said that it won't introduce any new models until 2025. As such, changes to Jaguar's 2022 SUVs are minimal. But they remain some of the best-looking and best-driving luxury vehicles on sale; read on to see the details.

2022 Jaguar E-Pace: What’s New

The E-Pace received new exterior design details and a reworked interior with improved infotainment for 2021. So it's not surprising that the small crossover remains unchanged for the 2022 model year. Now that the XE sedan has left the U.S. market, the E-Pace is the least expensive way into a new Jaguar with its low-$40,000 base price.

2022 Jaguar E-Pace: Pros and Cons

Some vehicles look different than how they drive. Not the Jaguar E-Pace—its styling is awesome, and it feels the same from behind the wheel. Jaguar's smallest SUV drives more like a high-riding hot hatchback with eager, stable handling. However, a firm and sometimes uncomfortable ride comes at the expense of that agility. Although its turbocharged inline-four engine provides quick acceleration, it's not the most refined, as it sounds like a diesel at idle. The E-Pace's 2021 refresh brought tangible improvements to interior quality and infotainment tech, but the cabin remains snug. This crossover is better suited for couples than families—and with how fun the E-Pace is, those couples might find themselves bickering over who gets to drive.

2022 Jaguar F-Pace: What’s New

A refresh in 2021 brought updated exterior styling, revised interior and infotainment features, and new powertrain choices, including a mild hybrid inline-six. Nothing new here—the Jaguar F-Pace carries over unchanged for 2022.

2022 Jaguar F-Pace: Pros and Cons

There's looking at the F-Pace: sleek, modern, and distinctive. There's sitting in the F-Pace: surrounded by a gorgeous, sporty cabin, big screens, and high-quality materials. There's driving the F-Pace : exciting on account of its fluid, balanced handling and smooth ride—and in the case of the supercharged V-8 SVR model, blisteringly quick . But then there's living with the F-Pace, which is a different story. The SUV is missing some common standard features, and its infotainment setup is clumsy, if improved. Even so, the SUV continues to make us smile .

2022 Jaguar I-Pace: What’s New

Jaguar's electric SUV gains several revisions for 2022. Outside, the grille is finished in gray, and new body paint colors are offered, including Aruba, Caldera Red, Portofino Blue, and Eiger Grey. Inside, it gets an updated infotainment system with over-the-air update capability, and a premium audio system is now standard. A 360-degree camera system and digital rearview mirror are also added. An 11-kW AC onboard charger enables faster recharging times.

2022 Jaguar I-Pace: Pros and Cons

Range concerns continue to vex EVs, and especially the Jaguar I-Pace. EPA-rated at about 230 miles, it can't cover as much ground on a charge as some of its electric luxury crossover competitors. Nevertheless, the I-Pace is a stupendous machine . Its exterior styling is like nothing else, and its interior is luxurious, tech-filled, and comfortable. Driving it is a joy thanks to its instant electric responses and precise, lithe handling. Now that it has been updated with new infotainment and faster charging capabilities, the I-Pace has new appeal for 2022. Still, the EV market is literally electric these days, and this Jag is left fighting for attention.

Alex's earliest memory is of a teal 1993 Ford Aspire, the car that sparked his automotive obsession. He's never driven that tiny hatchback—at six feet, 10 inches tall, he likely wouldn't fit—but has assessed hundreds of other vehicles, sharing his insights on MotorTrend as a writer and video host.
