Falken Tire, in an effort to help celebrate and prove just how capable their all new Azenis RT660 tire really is, reached out to industry partners and peers and brought them all to Buttonwillow Raceway for an incredibly well-organized track day. With over 30 cars on hand, the private event went down without a single issue and everyone in attendance had a great time.

All Makes, All Models

Each attendee was given a set of RT660s to experience the tire for themselves, on their own vehicles and at their own pace. The variety of cars on hand included everything from Civic, Golf and SE-R examples, to RX-7, Mustang, and even El Camino drivers. The mix of styles and varying levels of performance made for an exciting day of turning laps in search of improving lap times and getting a real-world demo of the tire giant's latest and greatest offering.

Usual Suspects

You'll certainly recognize some of the cars from the event as industry peers from the likes of EAS, KW Suspension, Titan7, Hoonigan, and a host of others joined in on the fun. The vibe throughout the day was laid back yet energetic as some were returning to the track after a lengthy hiatus, while others were just excited to get a chance to abuse the RT660.

Our own Integrated Media Sales specialist, Jay Tien, participated in the event and had a blast, adding, "It was a great variety of cars and shops. Those tires are fast! The feedback throughout the paddock was that the RT660 is an overall great tire for the track. The grip comes on quick but stays consistent and it's super responsive through the steering wheel with that strong sidewall. Tread wear is on par if not better compared to other popular 200TW tires and for the price, these can't be beat."
