2027 Audi Q3

After its full redesign for 2026, the U.S.-market Q3 enters 2027 with a more targeted round of upgrades. Direct tire-pressure monitoring becomes standard, while Adaptive Rear Assist adds emergency braking capability to mitigate rear-end collision risks involving pedestrians.

Audi also reorganizes the Q3’s options. A new Convenience package combines a heated steering wheel, surround-view cameras, Park Assist, an auto-dimming mirror with compass and HomeLink, and a SiriusXM trial. The Driver Assistance package adds a head-up display, remote Park Assist Pro, and trained parking.

2027 Audi Q4 E-Tron

Audi’s smallest electric SUV gets a midcycle refresh for 2027, with updates expected for both the Q4 E-Tron and Q4 Sportback E-Tron. Exterior changes are subtle, including a body-color grille panel and cleaner front and rear bumpers.

The bigger news is inside, where the Q4 gains a new digital dashboard with a 12.8-inch central touchscreen (enlarged by 1.2 inches), an 11.9-inch driver screen (1.7 inches bigger than before), and a new available 12.0-inch passenger display. An augmented reality head-up display, improved voice assistant, and cooled wireless charging pads are also available.

Reworked electric motors should improve efficiency and range, while the Q4 55 Quattro may gain a higher 185-kW peak charging rate. Audi also adds bidirectional charging, although vehicle-to-home capability appears limited to select European markets for now.

2027 Audi Q5 and SQ5

The Q5 and performance-oriented SQ5 receive packaging-focused updates for 2027, with both models adding a heated steering wheel and surround-view cameras as standard.

The Q5 gains new 18-inch wheels, while its S Line Black Optic package can now be paired with either 19- or 20-inch wheels. The SQ5 adds a Carbon package and two available 21-inch wheel packages, offered either separately or with Black Optic trim.

Across both model lines, the Driver Assistance package combines a head-up display, integrated dashcam, and dynamic interaction light. The Q5’s Executive package adds Bang & Olufsen 3D audio, acoustic front-door glass, ventilated sport seats, upgraded LED headlights, and high-output USB-C ports. On the SQ5, that package goes further with dual-pane acoustic glass and massaging, ventilated Fine Nappa leather seats.

The available Vorsprung package adds a 10.9-inch passenger display, heated rear seats, rear sunshades, remote Park Assist Pro, customizable OLED taillights, Audi drive select assistant, rear emergency brake assist, and surround-view cameras with 3D view. Available summer tires, matte aluminum trim, and a factory trailer hitch add further performance and utility options.

2027 Audi Q6 E-Tron and SQ6 E-Tron

After skipping the 2026 model year in the U.S., the Q6 E-Tron returns for 2027 with updated software, revised steering-wheel controls, and expanded standard and available equipment. The Q6 lineup now uses standard Quattro all-wheel drive (no more rear-drive model), and the Q6 E-Tron produces up to 456 horsepower. The SQ6 E-Tron reaches 509 horsepower. Sportback versions continue for both models.

Inside, the updated touchscreen software features cleaner graphics, fewer menus, expanded voice commands, and deeper smartphone integration. Physical scroll wheels return to the steering wheel, while a revised one-pedal-driving mode can improve regenerative braking. A new Power Nap mode provides a more comfortable environment during charging stops.

The Audi dashcam is available on the Q6 Premium and standard on Premium Plus. Prestige models add Audi drive select assistant, remote Park Assist Pro, rear emergency brake assist, customizable digital OLED taillights, a 3D surround-view camera, and an air-quality package.

The SQ6 lineup now begins with Premium Plus, and its Prestige trim adds an optional Audi-exclusive Design package with Ocean Blue stitching and Jet Gray Dinamica accents.

An S Line Black Optic package, available 20-inch wheels, an illuminated Audi badge, a technology package with an augmented reality head-up display and passenger screen, and an available trailer hitch round out the updates.

2027 Audi Q7 and SQ7

The redesigned Q7 is the shorter, more maneuverable sibling in Audi’s new large-SUV family, sharing much of its structure and cabin technology with the Q9. Its sole engine is a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6 producing 429 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque—up 94 hp and 73 lb-ft over the outgoing Q7 V-6. Maximum towing capacity remains 7,700 pounds with the available towing package, and an eight-speed automatic transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive are standard.

The Q7 gains a higher-quality cabin with three dashboard screens, including a passenger display, plus available power-opening doors, massaging front seats, a 4K dashcam, 4D Bang & Olufsen audio, twin wireless charging pads, high-output USB-C ports, and an illuminated panoramic sunroof. Six- and seven-seat layouts are available, but the Q7’s shorter body means the third row is best suited to children.

Available U.S.-spec Digital Matrix LED headlights can shade portions of the high-beam pattern around other vehicles, while OLED taillights offer selectable signatures and warning displays.

The SQ7 shares its 591-hp, 590-lb-ft twin-turbo V-8 with the SQ9. It adds rear-biased Quattro, an electronic locking differential, standard air suspension, larger brakes, sportier suspension options, and 22- or 23-inch wheels.

2027 Audi Q8, SQ8, and RS Q8 Performance

Audi’s Q8 performance SUV family enters 2027 with mostly incremental changes. The standard Q8 gains the S Line exterior as standard equipment, along with new standard 21-inch five-V-spoke S wheels. Buyers choosing the Black Optic package can now add optional 22-inch 10-Y-spoke wheels finished in matte Neodymium Gold.

The SQ8 gains a new optional 23-inch Black Optic package wheel with a 10-spoke-trapezoid design and black metallic finish. At the top of the range, the RS Q8 Performance adds standard dual-pane acoustic glass for the side windows, improving cabin quietness.

Audi Q9

The all-new Q9 is best understood as a more lavish, stretched Q7 derivative rather than a wholly separate SUV. It shares the Q7’s 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6, producing the same 429 horsepower and 442 lb-ft, as well as the Q7’s basic cabin architecture, three-screen dashboard, digital lighting, and 7,700-pound towing capacity.

The Q9’s nearly 17.5-foot body and longer rear doors create more room for second-row passengers and allow six- or seven-seat configurations. Unlike the Q7, adaptive air suspension is standard, and four-wheel steering is available on higher trims. The Q9 also adds curved OLED taillights, projected turn signals, optional power-operated doors, and Audi’s new Level 2 hands-free driving system for mapped U.S. roads.

The SQ9 likewise shares its core hardware with the SQ7, including the 591-hp twin-turbo V-8 and rear-biased Quattro system. Its distinguishing touches include wider fender flares, silver mirror caps and trim, and other SQ-specific exterior details.

My dad was a do-it-yourselfer, which is where my interest in cars began. To save money, he used to service his own vehicles, and I often got sent to the garage to hold a flashlight or fetch a tool for him while he was on his back under a car. Those formative experiences activated and fostered a curiosity in Japanese automobiles because that’s all my Mexican immigrant folks owned then. For as far back as I can remember, my family always had Hondas and Toyotas. There was a Mazda and a Subaru in there, too, a Datsun as well. My dad loved their fuel efficiency and build quality, so that’s how he spent and still chooses to spend his vehicle budget. Then, like a lot of young men in Southern California, fast modified cars entered the picture in my late teens and early 20s. Back then my best bud and I occasionally got into inadvisable high-speed shenanigans in his Honda. Coincidentally, that same dear friend got me my first job in publishing, where I wrote and copy edited for action sports lifestyle magazines. It was my first “real job” post college, and it gave me the experience to move just a couple years later to Auto Sound & Security magazine, my first gig in the car enthusiast space. From there, I was extremely fortunate to land staff positions at some highly regarded tuner media brands: Honda Tuning, UrbanRacer.com, and Super Street. I see myself as a Honda guy, and that’s mostly what I’ve owned, though not that many—I’ve had one each Civic, Accord, and, currently, an Acura RSX Type S. I also had a fourth-gen Toyota pickup when I met my wife, with its bulletproof single-cam 22R inline-four, way before the brand started calling its trucks Tacoma and Tundra. I’m seriously in lust with the motorsport of drifting, partly because it reminds me of my boarding and BMX days, partly because it’s uncorked vehicle performance, and partly because it has Japanese roots. I’ve never been much of a car modifier, but my DC5 is lowered, has a few bolt-ons, and the ECU is re-flashed. I love being behind the wheel of most vehicles, whether that’s road tripping or circuit flogging, although a lifetime exposed to traffic in the greater L.A. area has dulled that passion some. And unlike my dear ol’ dad, I am not a DIYer, because frankly I break everything I touch.
