2026 Volvo Car Lineup: They’re Gonna Kill the Wagons
Act fast if you want a luxurious Volvo long-roof in your life.
Volvo is in a strange place. Its core cars have aged out and reached the end of their production runs—2026 will be the final year for the V60, S90, and V90. The plan was for Volvo to create all-electric replacements for those as part of its commitment to become an EV-only automaker, but that commitment was scrapped just as Volvo’s newest electric model, the ES90, arrives.

Despite uncertainty in Volvo’s future, this much is clear: After this year, there will be a lot more SUVs and no wagons in the lineup (at least for a while).
2025 Volvo S60
Volvo’s smaller car was discontinued at the end of model year 2025; there will be no 2026 Volvo S60.

2026 Volvo V60
Already a niche seller, the V60 luxury compact wagon becomes even more scarce for 2026, as the high-performance Polestar Engineered plug-in hybrid version has been discontinued. Only the adventurous V60 Cross Country carries on this year. It’s available in new Aurora Silver or Forest Lake paint colors. Platinum Gray, Silver Dawn, and Fusion Red are no longer available.

2026 Volvo ES90
A new all-electric Volvo sedan has been anticipated for many years, and it arrives for 2026—sort of, maybe. Known as the ES90, it’s built on the same fundamental hardware as the EX90 three-row electric SUV and shares a lot of its tech and features. The designs are similar, too, but the ES90 clearly has its own shape. Still, with its tall stance and hatchback cargo area, the ES90 doesn’t exactly fit the traditional definition of a sedan.
Although announced as a 2026 model, rapidly evolving market conditions driven by tariff uncertainty and EV acceptance are making it unclear exactly when—or, perhaps, if—Volvo will sell the ES90 in the United States.
