2026 Infiniti QX60 Expert Review
Reviewed by Zach Gale
With the newly updated 2026 QX60, Infiniti is making sure no one can bypass its popular 3-row luxury SUV on the way to a Lexus or Volvo dealership. That’s because the 2026 Infiniti QX60 has been updated inside and out—even under the hood.
Rivals to the QX60—by far Infiniti’s bestselling vehicle—include the Lexus TX, Volvo XC90, and Buick Enclave.
Infiniti also offers a larger three-row SUV with more space. Read all about the QX80 here.
What’s New
Basics
- New QX60 Sport appearance package with a different front grille treatment, gloss black wheels and trim, plus an S badge on the liftgate. The best part might be the interior's dark blue/black color combo.
- ProPilot Assist 2.1 provides hands-free freeway driving (like GM's Super Cruise)
- Updated engine tuning so the powerplant sounds more premium (a complaint we've had on pre-2026 models)
Exterior
- Updated design, complete with illuminated Infiniti badge and redone lower bumper to make the grille almost look like it’s floating
- Daytime running light bars now divided into segments like on the QX80
- An overall design theme inspired by the "intersecting shapes of a serene bamboo forest." We'll take Infiniti's word on that.
- Deep Emerald is a beautiful new exterior color. High-end Autograph models can now be had with Graphite Shadow paint with a black roof.
- The Pure base trim now rides on 20-inch wheels, meaning every 2026 QX60 has 20s
Interior
- Available Klipsch sound system with headrest-mounted speakers
- Available Google-based infotainment with Google Maps
- Infiniti's 360-degree camera now has Moving Object Detection that can help spot obstacles
- Pure and Luxe trims get TailorFit seating material that Infiniti promises is softer than most faux leathers and is made of 65 percent recycled materials.
- Autograph models have open-pore wood with a laser-etched metal inlay
What We Think
Infiniti is working hard to reach 3-row luxury SUV greatness. Part of the QX60's sales success story is a combination of value-oriented pricing with a decently luxurious interior. Even now, the 2026 QX60 carries a base price in the low $50,000 range.
That’s not to say it’s not without faults. We long wished for a different engine and, once Infiniti replaced the QX60's V-6 with a turbo-four, we noted how unrefined it sounded. Some may also take issue with how much the QX60 shares with its platform counterpart, the Nissan Pathfinder.
The QX60 gets revised engine tuning for 2026, which doesn't seem to do much for the driving experience. There's enough power and torque for around-town driving, but getting up to highway speeds takes some time. Responsiveness from the powertrain still isn't great.
The QX60 has been a midpack performer in our eyes. Despite an easy-to-access third row, spaciousness and features back there are minimal. And although fuel economy and driving range are both great, the driving experience in pre-2026 models has been ... all right.
That brings us to the 2026 model. With useful updates to tech, a slightly improved driving experience and, yes, a really cool green, the QX60 takes a few steps closer toward being competitive against other 3-row luxury SUVs.
Top-Ranked Competitors:
MotorTrend Tested
Performance has never been a QX60 strong suit, but Infiniti has taken steps this year to subtly address that. Every 2026 Infiniti QX60 is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 with 268 hp and 286 lb-ft of torque. A nine-speed automatic is standard; the CVT of previous models is long gone.
In our testing, a 2025 QX60 accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in 7.9 seconds, a perfectly adequate performance. Our issue was more how the engine sounded, and Infiniti took steps to improve this for the 2026 model. It's also quicker, in testing accelerating to 60 mph in 7.5 seconds.
MPGs and Range
Driving range and fuel economy are pretty good for the Infiniti QX60. Whether you choose FWD or AWD, combined city/highway fuel economy comes to 24 mpg on 2025 models, and we expect 2026 QX60s to be similarly rated. The FWD model for 2025 is rated at 22/28 mpg while the AWD model falls slightly to 22/27 mpg.
Driving range is 468 miles for FWD and AWD, which is better than most of the competition. This means you’ll spend a little more time getting stuff done than stopping to refuel.
Safety Ratings and Features
The 2026 Infiniti QX60 is a safe luxury SUV. The similar 2025 model is a 2025 IIHS Top Safety Pick, a good rating that’s only beat as of this writing by the Audi Q7 and Volvo XC90, which earn a 2025 Top Safety Pick+. The 2025 QX60 is also rated at five stars overall by NHTSA.
All 2026 Infiniti QX60s get standard driver assist safety features, including
- Automatic emergency front and rear braking
- Rear cross-traffic alert
- Blind-spot monitoring with an intervention feature
- Lane departure warning with a function that can vibrate the steering wheel if the SUV is veering from its lane
- Hill Start Assist
Cargo Space and Interior Room
What’s good about the 2026 Infiniti QX60’s interior aren’t the specs themselves but the relative ease with which you can access the third row and fold the second row forward with a child seat installed.
Having said that, the Buick is a good choice if you’re looking for max interior space. Here’s how the Infiniti compares:
Technology
Infotainment
Every 2026 Infiniti QX60 has a 12.3-inch driver display paired with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Go for the high-end Autograph trim for these features:
- 10.8-inch head-up display
- Power-returning third-row seat back
- Massage function
Sound System
- Pure: 9-speaker audio
- Luxe and Sport: 16-speaker Klipsch audio
- Autograph: 20-speaker Klipsch audio with front headrest speakers
Value
Standard Features
Features-per-dollar value is a big reason to consider a 2026 Infiniti QX60. Here are some of its standard features:
- A full suite of driver assist features
- Seven-passenger seating on Pure and Lux. Sport and Autograph get captain's chairs and a six-passenger layout
- TailorFit faux leather (real semi-aniline leather on the Autograph trim)
- 12.3-inch driver and infotainment displays
- 20-inch alloy wheels
Recommended Trim
For us, the decision on the 2026 QX60 trim comes down to whether you want a second-row bench seat or captain's chairs. We'd skip the base Pure trim because it lacks features including ventilated front seats, adaptive cruise control, and a premium sound system.
Our choice would be the new QX60 Sport, the third trim out of four. It has a new dark blue/black interior plus a 16-speaker Klipsch sound system and black open pore ash wood.
